Introducing the Force 8

 

 

The Force 8 moves you with a 32 valve quad cam Boss V8, an engine comparable to Europe's best. The awe-inspiring Boss 290 is a powerplant unlike any ever built in this country and comes to life on Australia's only current V8 engine production line.

 

The Boss 290 was developed right here in Australia by Ford Performance Vehicles for our unique requirements and to meet the rising demands of a new breed of Aussie V8 drivers.

 

Its 5.4-litre capacity, 32 valves and double overhead camshafts per bank work in concert to produce 290 kilowatts of power and a phenomenal 520 Newton metres of torque. So not only is there free-revving top-end power but a wall of torque at low speeds as well. In combination with the tuned stainless steel exhaust system, it produces the trademark rumble that lets you know you're driving a real, blue-blooded Aussie V8. It has a quality that clearly communicates who exactly owns the road.

 

 

The Force 6

 

The Force 6 is powered by the same engine as the F6 Typhoon - a turbo charged 24 valve six with an amazing 550 Nm of torque.

 

The F6 270 Turbo. A 4-litre turbo-charged, intercooled, 24-valve double overhead cam six. The highest torque output of any production six ever built in Australia and one of the most powerful in the world. Through partnership with Prodrive and their mastery of turbo technology across F1 and World Rally, the development of our high performance turbo-charged FPV has changed performance cars forever. We created an engine with dramatically improved cooling and induction. The 50% larger (than XR6 Turbo) air-to-air intercooler and dual Ram Air system significantly reduces intake pressure into the turbo's compressor - allowing it to work more efficiently... and effectively.

 

The result. A fully engineered performance-driven power generator. Armed with double overhead camshafts and 4-valve aluminum cylinder heads, the F6 270 Turbo produces its maximum power of 270kW at 5250 rpm. However, the real story is torque. All 550Nm is on tap from just 2000 rpm and remaining constant all the way through to 4250 rpm.

 

At time of launch, the highest torque output of any production engine ever built in Australia. Even more staggering is the engine's ability to produce 80% of its maximum torque at 1500 rpm and over 98% at 1750 rpm. Total Performance meets the turbo.

 

Brakes

 

 

The power to stop you is provided by Performance Brembo 4 piston front brake calipers and single piston rear calipers. Cooling is enhanced with cross drilled brake rotors as standard. A Premium Brembo 6 piston front and 4 piston rear brake package is available as an option.

 

Performance Brakes

 

Up front, huge 355mm x 32mm cross drilled and slotted front rotors with Brembo 4 piston calipers and 328mm x 26mm cross drilled rear rotors with red single piston calipers and are standard on Force 6 and Force 8.

 

Premium Brakes

 

For the ultimate in stopping power choose the FPV Premium brake package, which consists of 355mm x 32mm cross drilled and slotted front rotors with Brembo 6 piston calipers and 330mm x 28mm cross cross drilled rear rotors with Brembo 4 piston calipers. Optional Force 6 and Force 8.

 

Brembo brakes are amongst the best brake packages in the world and are another example of FPV's commitment to Total Performance

Ford BF MK2 GT

The BF MkII GT more than lives up to the famous badge. It is the muscle car for the 21st century. With 290kWs of Boss quad cam V8 power and the choice of 6-speed manual gearbox or the no cost optional ZF 6 speed high torque automatic. The GT is second-to-none for outright handling and driver comfort in a 5 passenger Australian built performance sedan.

 

Like the GT legends of the past, its styling is impossible to ignore, incorporating the GT badge into the upper grille. The new retro-cool FPV side stripes and Boss 290 hood decal are options and a FPV dual exhaust system, Brembo front brakes and 19" alloy wheels are standard.

FPV BF Mk2 GT-P

You want more? The FPV GT-P has everything the GT has — and more. Same big Boss engine. Same exhilarating performance. Then you start to appreciate the differences. New GT-P 5-spoke 19" alloy wheels with machined face, 355mm × 32mm cross drilled 6 piston front and 330mm × 28mm cross drilled 4 piston rear Brembo brakes and rear parking sensors are standard. FPV stripes and hool decal are a no-cost option. Choose between the close ratio 6-speed manual gearbox or the no cost optional ZF 6-speed automatic. Aggressive front and rear styling features satin-alloy upper and lower grille mesh, bright finish side skirt flutes and FPV dual exhaust. It's hard to believe any car could look more purposeful than the GT-P. This does.

290 kW of quad cam V8 power. Supercar-inspired front end design, 19" GT alloy wheels, twin chrome tailpipes and Brembo front brakes are standard for the ultimate stopping power. Inside, there's plenty of room to move within the Pursuit Supercab. Settle into the contoured FPV Sports seats (driver's 4-way electrically adjustable) and view the FPV sports gauges featuring oil temperature and oil pressure readouts. Turbo-charged, intercooled, twin overhead cam 4-litre engine, the F6 Tornado unleashes 550Nm of torque. The new F6 19" pewter-accent alloy wheels are standard, while the sinister 19" Dark Argent alloy wheels with machined outer rims are optional. Your choice of 6 speed close ratio manual or no cost optional ZF 6 speed high torque automatic. FPV cross drilled front Brembo brakes and Traction Control are standard. The F6 Tornado also features an FPV soft tonneau cover and the option of an alloy Sports Bar. Also available is an optional hard tonneau with FPV 3 pillar rear spoiler or combination hard tonneau and Sports Bar. Tviler på at disse bilene blir lansert i Norge. lenge vært snakk om at SUT (Sport-utility-truck) skal komme. Og dette er Fords foreløpige modeller beregnet for det australske markedet.

 

Syntes hvertfall dette er noe av det sprekeste som har blitt lansert som normale biler.

Blir nok bare lansert i Australia de der desverre! :(

 

Noen ganger skjønner jeg bare ikke hva Ford tenker med? De har jo lenge slitt i det internasjonale markedet, og her kommer de med noen modeller som kan fint konkurrere med alle bilene som danker de ut om dagen. Men neeeeeei, "vi plasserer de på en øy langt uti helvete der ingen får tak i dem".... herregud

Får sånne biler kan jeg med GLEDE faktisk flytte til australia... Ble kåt nå jeg, de bilene var porno så det HOLDT!
