steve10001 Skrevet Juni 2, 2008 Rapporter Share Skrevet Juni 2, 2008 Hi all, Maybe one of you guys can help us out. Excuse the english language, i`m from the UK and my written norwegian isnt so good... Anyway, my Norwegian girlfriend and i have been living in germany since mid 2001. She has been working here and paying taxes the whole time we have been here. She bought a car about 4 years ago, and now we need to know the cheapest way of getting the car into Norway, ive looked through Toll.no but it doesnt make too much sense to me. Is it actually worth bringing this car over when we move back? the car is a 2002 model volvo v70 - Kombi/Van 145ps 2.4 bensin navigation system air condition 140,000km any assistance would be greatly appreciated:-) P.s. We need to bring all of our stuff over with us so we were thinking of buying a trailer, will we have to pay tax on that too, and if so, will we be able to sell it again shortly after we arrive? cheers steve Siter Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider
saabaero Skrevet Juni 2, 2008 Rapporter Share Skrevet Juni 2, 2008 I need the weight, price when new and the date of registration. Then i can find out the taxes you have to pay. If you're car is 1500 kg, first registrated in january 2002 and cost 20000 euros new, the taxes will be 18000 euros. Check out: http://www.toll.no/templates_TAD/RegistrationTax.aspx?id=79&epslanguage=NO#anchorResult The link is a calculator used to calculate the tax you have to pay to get plates on the car:) Siter Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider

There used to be an exemption for norwegians moving back home, but unfortunately this was removed quite a few years ago. Siter Flink til å kjøpe biler jeg ikke har bruk for. steve10001 Skrevet Juni 17, 2008 Forfatter Rapporter Share Skrevet Juni 17, 2008 thanx for the reply, its not a caravan we are going to bring in but a normal car trailer for transporting stuff (tilhenger?) the reason i`m asking is that we want to transport our stuff to Bergen, then sell the trailer as soon as we arrive, we need to know if its worth buying a new or a used one. sort of like this: http://www.westgarage.co.uk/trailers/files/clam1.jpg thanx steve Siter Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider
