Hei.

I was driving up the E6 early toward Gardemoen...

A taxi was following me closely at very similar speed (150km/t plus)

This lasted for about 3 mil...

when i turned off to visit the gas station, he passed me and flashed his hazard lights (see title) for a second...

 

In England where I am from this mean thank you.. but why?

 

does this mean something different in the circumstances here in Norway?

He would probably thank you for being in front so that you would be taken and not him, if the cops had a speeding control or something! ;)
